How Can You Reveal Your Greatest Potential?

potential

I dream in potential. It may seem weird but most dreams are. It is the Maximizer® in me, seeking to transform something strong into something superb. Most of the dreams have to do with unrealized potential; that of which is right in front of you if only you could see it.

Here’s a great example made better only that it wasn’t a dream.

A recent project to improve the view in our home involved washing the exterior windows. One should know that undertaking such a project involves washing not only the exterior but the interior of the windows as well. Once the outside is clean it reflects how dirty the inside is!

Completing the entire project meant sliding the front bedroom bed away from the large window so those panes could also be cleaned. That movement, the shift of the bed, opened a window (pun intended) to an entirely new view for the room. At that point I warned my husband “I think there will be some furniture rearranging!” and so the room was transformed.

The bed in the front room has occupied several locations in our home. Not until this shift was the absolute beauty of the view revealed. There was no way the bed could remain in its former position. Something better had been glimpsed and must be acted upon.

The same holds true for us in our work and personal lives. A seemingly minor task or action suddenly reveals a whole new understanding, appreciation or creative idea. Grasp the opportunity! Move the “furniture” and see what is revealed. It is amazing the amount of energy that is released.

Do you see your own potential? Or is something blocking the view? Join me for a seven week course to shine a light on your potential. In Strengths Discovery, we will remove those barriers and help you see the potential you possess. Send me a note to learn more.

The front bedroom is now the favorite resting place for our cats whose previous activities in said room had been hiding under the bed or playing in guests’ luggage. For my husband and me, we now catch each other just gazing into the room, admiring the view now open to our eyes. Or is it now that our eyes are open?
