Even before the newsletter, “A Curious Statistic” was published, you ladies came through. Three new female clients committed to themselves and to developing their careers and businesses through coaching. I said it was a small margin by which I had coached more men than women and you have now evened it up. Congratulations!
The most important thing here is that a concerning statistic has turned around in this small, unscientific study. Women have committed to preparing themselves for the lives they want to live. What intrigues me is how this occurred prior to the publication of this message.
The intent of the message was a wake-up call; for women readers of this publication to stop and consider, is that me? Is that me postponing my life for some reason? Somehow, some way, several of you received that message and responded accordingly. Since you could not have known what I had written how did that happen?
I would like to suggest that it was the power of intent. In writing that message, I stated a goal I wanted to achieve – to have a client base equal in gender. Perhaps my efforts in reaching out to people focused more on women than men in the past few weeks in order to reach this goal. That is the power of intent and goal-setting. Once you tell your mind what you want, it finds a way to make it happen, even if you are somewhat unconscious of its efforts. Wow – that is powerful stuff!
What is your intent? What messages are feeding your mind and guiding you, perhaps unconsciously, toward some desired outcome? Is it an outcome you desire?
