Life’s Little Instruction Book

Have you seen it?  Do you know where I left my copy?  Can I borrow yours or have they made it an e-book yet?   You haven’t heard of this book?  Why it is one of the greatest reads and I can’t believe I misplaced mine!  If only it were that easy!

In our early years in life, instruction books are provided.  They come in the form of textbooks and curriculums, progress reports and reports cards all helping us understand just where we are and laying out the path ahead, all prepared for us by someone else.

Then, we find ourselves in the real world, making a living, raising our family and setting our own path.  It all seems great at first, particularly the freedom, yet then we realize our copy of Life’s Little Instruction Book contains only blank pages.  Now what?  You make a few notes here and there in the book, beginning to pull bits and pieces of knowledge and experience together to write your own version.  Yet the manuscript is not quite coming together.  Parts of it are good, really good and others, quite frankly, could use some help.

But who can help and how, where do you find them?  For those willing to search and ask, a plethora of mentors, coaches, friends, counselors, clergy and other instructors are available to help you pull the pieces together.  They provide knowledge where needed, experience to guide, hope when all seems lost and the encouragement to continue when your life’s instruction book looks more like a doodle than a masterpiece.

Where are you in your Instruction Book?  Eager for a strong start?  Ready for a plot twist in the middle?  Are you building toward a climatic finish?  How can I help?  barbara@acceluspartners.com
